With over ten years in the PV industry, Sunray Energy specializes in residential and commercial solar installations either on, or off grid (autonomus systems) across Greece, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction with every project.

We are commited in producing quality results and we are working to give our customers an extra portion of work further to the expected.

We greatly respect our environment and we are doing anything possible to use - whenever possible - environmental friendly materials, recyclable with the minimum possible footprint.

Solar energy is green, and we fully support and encourage people towards the solar direction, but we are against the idea of covering green with solars. It's a sensitive balance that we are trying to compensate and always keep in mind before, during, and at the end of a large scale project.

Sunray Energy was founded by Vassilis Paraskevopoulos after several years in the field of PV technology and its applications. Vassilis has studied Electrical & Electronic Eng Pre Engineering and Engineering course in the University of Birmingham UK, and graduated from the University of Brighton UK- school of Engineering-, with a Bachelors Degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering. Further Postgraduate studies (MSc) in Intelligent Systems (AI) took part in the Hellenic National Military School in collaboration with the Technical University of Crete. After 20+ years in the IT field he followed PV industry where he still remains since 2014.

When not in the office he enjoys installing and configuring solar systems, writing code for AI applications, jogging, or spending quality time with friends and relatives.

He is proudly committed in serving customers to the best of his abilities and he always get a happy smile as a reward at the end.

Net Metering 9kW Artemis Attika

We have successfully installed numerous residential solar projects, showcasing our technical expertise and commitment to efficiency in energy solutions throughout Greece.

Net Metering 7kW - Residential Building Block Voula Attika

In this case we managed to eliminate monthly building electricity bills down to zero. Building electricity fees were 10500kwh all year round, and the PV system produces 11055kwh.

Our residential projects are tailored to meet customer needs, ensuring sustainable energy solutions for homes across the country.

Net Metering 7,4kW Glyfada Attika

In this case the system produces 12.154kWh on a yearly base, well above an average family house of four in Attika area. House electricity consumptions are in average 28kWh per day or 10.220kwh year round.PV system is now covering 118,2% of the current consumptions, and the system was studied to be initially oversized in order to balance consumptions in future heatpump installation for heating and cooling purposes.

Off Grid - Autonomus - 10,8kW Lagonisi Attika

Some people go mad with the electricity bills and demand to go Off Grid and totally autonomous.

We usually do not recommend that for several reasons, but if that's the case we can do it.

House was heavy on loads and several battery packs had to be installed. This is a three inverter 3ph system, with total battery capacity 43,2 kWh and daily production on average 48kWh. Use of the house was mainly during the summertime and occasionaly during bank holidays, and the weekends. System installed and configured, and everyone is happy. Expected life of service, 25 years for the panels, and 10-15 years for the batteries depending on the depth of discharge

Off Grid - Autonomus - 8kW Peloponnese

In this case the house was built far away from the grid network and the cost for the national services to connect the house was near science fiction.

Here is when we do recommend to connect to the Sun!

House was new and we had no indications of consumptions, but where there is a will there is a way. Some extra calculations according to the number of people living in the house, habits, and a few info from the appliances specs and there you are. 18-21kWh per day was our forecast. Single phase system with 20kwh of Battery capacity units, and a 10kW inverter would do the job, ...and yet the system is expandable anyway if there is a need for more energy!

Syrtex SA is one of the oldest factories in Greece (around half a century of life) The production building unit is based in Kryoneri and we had to reduce the energy costs to the lowest possible levels, so that the production costs remaines down to competitive levels. Long story short ...183 PV units of 545W each i.e 99,73kW installed power. Two 50kW Sungrow inverters a few kilometers of cabling, 4 Electrical boards, a crane, to mount the cabling rails and earth wiring from top to the bottom of the building. After 38700 footsteps and 68 days later the job is done. Yes we had a couple of turning backs due to strong winds. Some extra support on the first two PV rows, since the area has unusually strong winds, not of those most of us has ever experienced. ...seriously!

No increased consumptions and the production in between the expected limits. Around 82% economy on the electricity bills!
